Smarter Organization & Smoother Collaboration, and More
Here’s everything new and improved in Creately this month – from powerful panel upgrades to subtle UI tweaks that make your experience faster and more intuitive.
Smarter Folder Panel for Better Workspace Organization
Managing workspaces is now more intuitive with multiple enhancements to the folder panel:
New Buttons for Quick Actions
- Create new folders directly from the panel area or the left sidebar.
- Add new workspaces easily with quick access buttons on both the panel and sidebar.
Improved Empty States
- When there are no folders or workspaces, you’ll now see clear prompts and actions to start organizing your content right away.
These updates streamline workspace setup and navigation, perfect for keeping large projects and teams organized.
Improved Connector Placement for Clearer Org Charts
We’ve enhanced the gluepoint positions on org chart shapes to ensure more accurate and intuitive connector alignment. This improvement allows connections between roles to follow a clearer hierarchical flow, reducing visual clutter and minimizing the need for manual adjustments. Whether you’re building a simple reporting structure or a complex organizational map, your org charts will now look cleaner, more professional, and easier to interpret at a glance.
Advanced Filter Buttons Now Always Visible in Database Creation
In the imported data section, the Advanced Filter option has been improved to work more reliably during database creation. Filter buttons now remain visible when switching between AND and OR conditions, ensuring a smoother experience. Additionally, you can now easily add or remove filter conditions without having to reset or repeat the filtering process.
Comment Icon Positioning Now Consistently Maintained
We’ve addressed an issue where comment icons would inadvertently shift from their original positions when a shape was resized. With this fix, comment icons now remain anchored to their intended locations, ensuring that contextual feedback stays clearly linked to the relevant elements. This enhancement supports more accurate collaboration and minimizes confusion during design and review workflows.
Improved Stability for Text Content in Collaborative Editing
We’ve resolved an issue where text entered on shapes, such as titles and descriptions, could disappear during real-time collaboration, particularly on shapes without default text. With this fix, you can now reliably edit text directly on the canvas with other collaborators. All text content remains visible and stable throughout the session, ensuring a seamless and consistent editing experience for teams working together in real time.
Refined Editor History Display for Enhanced Collaboration Experience
We’ve made visual improvements to the editor history indicators on shapes, providing a cleaner and more consistent appearance when multiple users are collaborating. These updates make it easier to identify who last edited a shape and enhance overall readability during collaborative work.
To get the most out of this feature, ensure that editor icons are enabled in your workspace. You can do this by clicking the Workspace Options menu in the top toolbar and toggling on “Show Authors”. This gives you a clearer view of collaboration in action, helping teams stay aligned and accountable in real time.
